Find some slides I presented to members of the European Commission for a “masterclass” on branding. We had very open and interesting discussions around the questions “how to brand Europe” and “how to brand the Commission“. We all shared the idea to better integrate citizens, so that they experience the brand and engage in distributing the brand. Whats open (perhaps even missing) is an implicit or explicit idea (or more concretely: a slogan), like for example Vietnams slogan “Independence, Freedom, Happiness” (remember that Vietnam is a “socialist republic”!). Of course, the discussion continues, and everyone could participate! Sell Europe! Engage in Europe! Be part of Europe!
